[Urban Interfaces and Information Spaces]
Contemporary urban spaces are a mixture of physical, information and communication networks. Increasing penetration of the urban structure by digital media and network economy causes continuous redefinition and shifting of boundries between different social spaces of the city. Urban Interfaces and Information Spaces views relations between the city, public and electronic networks as potential hybrid spaces for artistic action and intervention, as well as places where the information society produces its culture. Shaping these mixed realities is currently a huge challenge for architects, urban designers, information designers and media authors.
