Monika Codourey (-Wisniewska) is an Architect and Ph.D. Research Fellow at Zurich Node of the Planetary Collegium (University of Plymouth, Great Britain) and Institute of Cultural Studies (Zurich University of Arts, Switzerland). Her range of transdisciplinary projects combine her interests in Architecture, Urbanity and creative and critical use of ICT (information and communication technologies) for social/urban design.

The focus of her recent works are relations between changing spacio-temporal structures of contemporary city and electronic networks. These relations she understands and investigates as hybrid action, intervention and possible places for socio-cultural production of information society. In particular she investigates transformation of socio-spacial mobilities in transit spaces such airports. She creates research-based works around spaces of `kinetic` subjects of different national and social status. Recently, she was awarded Artists-in-Labs Residency to collaborate with a group of researchers from Human Computer Interaction, Institute for Psychology, University of Basel on her research project "Constant Travellers - Reality Game".

She has received her degree in Architecture form the University of British Columbia in Canada. She pursued her postgraduate studies in the field of Information Architecture at Department of Architecture, ETH Zurich in Switzerland and participated in VI Bauhaus Kolleg in Dessau in Germany.
She has lectured in field of Urban Media and Information Spaces at the Zurich at the Faculty of New Media, University of Arts(1999-2004). She was a guest lecturer at University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland, School of Arts and Design in Basel.
She has a wide range of work experience in architectural offices internationally. She is registered architect in Warsaw/Poland and Berlin/Germany.
